#5 Split Ring
Split Rings, also commonly called Ring Cotters, Rue Rings, or Split Cotter rings, are formed from a length of spring steel wire formed into a circular ring shape. This is usually a double ring, but can be a triple ring. When threaded through the hole in a Clevis Pin, they can be used instead of Cotter Pins, hence the name Cotter Ring.
